Although Lavell Crawford’s late father was openly gay he seems to be against the LGBT community.
In an interview with VLAD TV, Crawford said:
‘No matter how much they’re getting accepted, it’s still f*cking weird, he says. ‘Now they’re trying to get their own bathrooms and sh*t [even though] it’s still not the norm.’
‘I don’t got nothing against gay people because strange enough, my father’s gay.’
Crawford said he didn’t know how to call his father’s husband ‘stepmom or mom/dad.’ ‘I said, “Which one is the man?” I didn’t know.’
‘Gay people shut down sh*t man.’
Then he goes on to say that you shouldn’t be able to be gay until you are 25.
Parents need to teach their kids ‘to be men and women before we try and put a moniker of gay and lesbian and sh*t. Okay, you’re gay – 25 I think you can be gay. If you decide you want to be gay at 25, that’s fine. But try pussy for the first years – try pussy out. Young lady, try a dick out. You’re gonna find a good dick out there.’
